Felicia S. Folk is a lawyer and a trained Arbitrator and Mediator who now focuses her practice on Arbitration, Mediation, and Estates.

She was called to the Bar of Ontario (Law Society of Upper Canada), in 1974. and to the Bar of British Columbia (Law Society of B.C.) in 1976, and is a current member in B.C. She practiced in Vancouver as litigation counsel from 1976 until 1993, when she became Practice Advisor at the Law Society of B.C. She has provided advice to lawyers on ethics & professional conduct, including undertakings, proceeds of crime, privacy, confidentiality and privilege, conflicts, courtroom and tribunal conduct and responsibility, lawyer-lawyer relationships, lawyers as corporate directors, resolution of law firm disputes, loss prevention and law office management. 

In addition to writing and speaking to lawyers on professional conduct, she is a frequent guest instructor at the Faculties of Law at U.B.C. and U. of Victoria She has published articles or been invited to speak on the subjects of Proceeds of Crime and Money Laundering, Trust Accounting, Conflicts of Interest, Ethics in Immigration Law, Confidentiality, Alternate Dispute Resolution, Wills and Estates, Risk Management, and Trial Advocacy. 

She has appeared at all levels of B.C. Courts in disputes in the areas of estates, corporate liability, personal injury, breach of contract and family asset division.

Felicia Folk received her Bachelor of Arts from Bryn Mawr College, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and her Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, She also attended the Universite de Geneve and l’Institut de l’Hautes Etudes Internationales, Geneva, Switzerland where she studied political science and government. 

She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the American Bar Association-- Section of Dispute Resolution, the Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice, and the ABA Center for Professional Responsibility. She has served on the Canadian Bar Association’s Provincial Council, the Task Force on Law Office Management, the Member Services Committee, and the Judicial Appointments Advisory Committee. 

She has served the community as a member of the Vancouver Police Board, as a member of the Mayor’s Task Force on AIDS, as co-chair of the Carnegie Centre Review Panel for Vancouver City Council. She has been president of Congregation Beth Israel and of the Jewish Family Service Agency, a regional officer of Canadian Jewish Congress, and Counsel for MADD. In 1992, she was the recipient of the Governor-General’s Medal for Community Service.
